Love the site, all the pictures you’ve had have been absolutely top of the line as far as street fashion blog photography goes, but I’m not sure about the rating system.
It seems like a well intentioned but ultimately pointless feature.
I suspect that we are going to see everyone featured on the site winding up with an average between four and five.
And when everyone is rated about within a .5 point spread it makes the ratings basically meaningless.
Since the score is average, instead of accumulated, three people voting four or five gives the same score as thirty voting four or five.
And I don’t imagine a lot of people are going to go to bother voting twos or threes for the ones they don’t particularly care for.
That’s just my thoughts though, don’t let it undermine how great I think the pictures (especially these ones) are.
Söt-Semb!
Utrolig stilig antrekk.
Jeg har ikke oppdaget denne siden før nå, men det er definitivt en jeg vil følge med på. Dritkul!
Thanks for the feedback Grahm, you make a good point. The reason why we added rating is that we want to show the most popular styles within for example a city (a feature to come). We could change the rating into a simple “I like this” button, preserving the ability to show the most popular styles when we implement that feature.
i think i should take a moment to just say how wrong i was and how glad i am to see it.
only one day later the rating system has already proven itself to be a legitimate and interesting feature. and my concerns are apparently unfounded.
kudos to the streethearts team.
